Ready for all 2014 has to offer?? Have you made your commitments and revisions? Have you decided how to improve on your awesomeness?? Two weeks in... are you persevering??

There are so many different fitness plans, weight loss plans, and health plans available, lots of good ones, some mediocre ones, and ones that will make you sick, but what they are all lacking is a spiritual component… a necessary and vital element to fight off defeat and live in victory. Here at Living Well Spine Center, we're committed to changing our lives… we are taking our own advice, following a committed plan, staying accountable, and developing new Living Well habits that will sustain us for a lifetime of health and well-being. We want to create a ripple of goodness as representatives of God… Living Well for Him, serving others along the way. We are choosing to be the best we can by doing the best we can to have the results we desire… we are Living Well By Design!

And we are not taking it easy on ourselves! We will be evaluating 7 different areas of our lives... part of our Wheel of Wellness program. These include our physical health, mental health, spiritual health, social health, career health, family health and financial health. We'll break them down as we go, but for now just understand that it is a program designed to incorporate choices, activities and behaviors that will support full and balanced function to increase our personal effectiveness.

As part of this process, we will be studying Lysa Terkeurst's "Made to Crave" program. We will be sharing what we learn along the way, and also how we are instructed to apply it to our daily living. Please feel free to follow our progress, ask questions, and share your stories.

Today's thought for Day 1 from the "Made to Crave" devotional:

"Unsettle me in the best kind of way. For when I allow your touch to reach the deepest parts of me - dark and dingy and hidden away too long - suddenly, a fresh wind of life twists and twirls and dances through my soul.

I can delight in hope that this is my year to change.

I can discover reasons to appreciate my body and find softer ways for my thoughts to land.

I can recognize the beauty of discipline and crave the intimacy with God it unleashes.

I can rest assured though the journey will be hard, I will be held.

Goodbye to my remnants, my justifications, shards, and tendencies. This is not who I am - nor who I was created to be.

Goodbye to shallow efforts, self-focus, and suspicious fears that I'll never find victory in this area of my life. I am an unsettled woman who no longer wishes to take part in distractions or destructions.

Welcome deeper love for God, and the realization I am made for more than this constant battle. Welcome my unsettled heart."

Are you ready to be unsettled in the best possible way??

We are!! We're ready and empowered through Christ to accomplish our mission! Join us on the journey!
